WEST LANCS ON THE MOVE

West Lancashire and Southport are among the most popular areas for properties on the market compared with the rest of the country, according to new data from SellingUp.com.

Research from the online estate agent comparison website has revealed which postcodes in England and Wales are most heavily for sale and which are the least on the move.

Tarleton in particular fared very well, with an impressive 5.13% on the market. The Ormskirk and Formby areas also ranked well, with 4.41% and 3.93% of households for sale respectively. Postcode areas in Southport ranked highly too, with 3.77% and 3.49% of household properties for sale respectively. Skelmersdale was lower than other local areas with only 2.59% of properties on the market.

The research covered 2,269 postcode districts and measured the number of households in each postcode district compared against how many residential properties were listed for sale on leading property portals.
