Two of the our local parks have been awarded the Green Flag by Keep Britain Tidy in recognition for the hard work of council staff and volunteers who keep the parks clean, tidy and such fantastic green spaces for us all to use. Now entering its fifth year, Ormskirk MotorFest is this year predicting over 30,000 visitors will come to soak up the atmosphere and take in the sights of hundreds of cars and motorcycles, lining the town’s streets.

The Government must build 300,000 homes each year in England to help solve the housing crisis, an increase of 50pc from its current target, a committee of Lords has advised.

Demand for rented homes in the UK is set to grow by 1.1 million over the next five years despite various government policies to boost home building, according to new research.

The Government’s Help to Buy ISAs savings scheme for first time buyers is proving very popular, with a quarter of a million people opening one of these products since their launch in December 2015. More than half of the first time buyers opening an ISA are aged 30 or under.
